You will have a great time, whether you want to soak in some crisp air or take pictures. Here is some helpful information if you would like to drive around the area:

Do not Miss These Stop Overs.

Emerald Bay State Park

Emerald Bay State Park is home to the only island in the area and one of the most mind-blowing stops to make. The park is beautiful, and you can take pictures all over the park. If you have ample time, Eagle Falls are not too far off, and you can walk there and experience the waterfall.

Sand Harbor

Tourists love this location so much that sometimes it's challenging to secure a parking slot. Sand Harbor is among the best places near the shoreline to view the lake. The Sierra Nevada Mountains in the background make the view more iconic and perfect for photos. The sunrise is beautiful from here, and it is peaceful, giving you a break from the city hustles and allowing you to bond with nature.

Incline Village

Incline Village is a helpful stopover when you want to stock up on essentials or grab a bite. If you have been on the road for a while, the flavorful Incline burgers are what you need to re-energize. It is also home to the prestigious Hyatt Regency Resort, which has ample amenities. In warm weather, cold craft beer from the brewery is ideal when you make your stop here.

Crystal Bay

At Crystal Bay, walk along the shoreline and cross into California from Nevada. This stop is also a favorite site for paddleboarding and kayaking. If you're feeling lucky while you're there, visit one of the Crystal Bay casinos.

The drive around the lake covers 72 miles, which you can cover in approximately three hours if you do not stop anywhere.
