The annual Hot August Nights car show will be in Virginia City, Reno, and Sparks, NV starting on Friday, July 29, and continuing through Sunday, August 7. Hot August Nights will start in the historic mining town of Virginia City just outside of Reno. The participants will parade their cars. The show will be here on Friday, July 29th, and Saturday, July 30th, from 9 am to 5 pm before moving on to Reno and Sparks.

From Monday, August 1 through Sunday, August 7, the iconic car show will continue in the Reno/Sparks area starting at 7 am daily.

In addition to the cars, there will be events like the Hot August Nights Foundation 50/50 Raffle and live entertainment. Make sure to check out the full schedule of events throughout the week by clicking here.

It all concludes with the Official Hot August Nights Grand Finale Parade in Downtown Reno on Sunday, August 7 at 10 am.

Hot August Nights started 36 years ago in 1986 as an ode to the 1950s and ‘60s. The parade of classic hot rods and music were already nostalgic. Plus, it was a way for locals to come together, support their community, and fill the tourism gap that usually came with the month of August. Part of the tradition has always been raising money for charity, and it still remains the same year after year.

Check out this beloved local event. It’s a great way to enjoy the end of summertime.
