Take a horse-drawn sleigh ride through the snow around Lake Tahoe to feel like you’re in a winter wonderland! A local company has been offering these one-hour sleigh rides since 1969.
These sleighs take off from Sand Harbor Nevada State Park near the Visitors Center. Enjoy a one-hour private ride along the shore of the lake and through the surrounding forest. Enjoy the beautiful scenery and stop along the way for photo ops.
You’ll be led by a gorgeous Blonde Belgian Horse wearing jingle bells, and the driver will act as your guide.
Take a snowy ride anytime during November through March. Rides are currently being offered daily from 11 am to 3 pm. Hours of operation depend on the weather conditions. They also offer carriage rides during the rest of the year when it’s not snowing!
Sleigh rides cost $50 for adults and $20 for kids. Sleighs can accommodate anywhere from 2 to 20 people, so feel free to bring a group.
They work on a first-come, first-serve basis, but making a reservation is a good idea. Call (775) 588-2953 or visit their website for more information about making reservations.
